Kate has believed in faeries from since she can remember and as she has grown up all sorts of other mythical creatures and divine beings have become a fascination, passion and a way of life.
Hundreds of years ago, the Hermetic philosopher, Heinrich Khunrathhad an inscription on his ceiling reading ‘Without Divine Inspiration, no one is great’. Kate believes that inscription is the secret to creativity and happiness. Everybody has the ability for everyday magic, you just have to look for it, ask for it and believe it!
She is inspired by all sorts of things including flowers, plants and trees, weather, movement and form, insects and animals, feathers, all things Japanese, alchemy, myths and folklore.
Circles & dots, twinkling lights, white Ink,fingerless gloves, Miso soup, pondering, pin buttons, dragonflies, writing little bits of day dreams, words starting in L and the everyday magic of making someone smile.
